Michael C. Lambert, PhD, is the CEO of Mental Verdure. Dr. Lambert is a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups.
With almost thirty years of practice experience in the field of clinical psychology, Dr. Lambert is in his tenth year of private practice as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in Cary, North Carolina.
He is an expert in the following treatment areas:

- Severe psychological disorders including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in children, adolescents and adults

Dr. Lambert earned his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Lambert is a Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Besides his current academic appointment at UNC, Dr. Lambert held faculty positions in Clinical Psychology Programs within Departments of Psychology at Michigan State University, University of Missouri, and The University of Mississippi. He also held the Millsap Endowed Chair Professorship in the Department of Human Development and Family Services at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Lambert holds Honorary Lecturship positions in Departments of Child Health and Psychiatry at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. He has trained dozens of doctoral level clinical psychologists and clinical researchers. Dr. Lambert has also presented his clinical and research work at multiple international professional conferences in countries including Australia, Jamaica, Malaysia, The Bahamas, United Kingdom, United States, and Turkey.
Dr. Lambert is a strong proponent of being on the cutting edge of his profession, which motivates his commitment to scientifically informed clinical practice and the clinical research enterprise. He is published in multiple areas including Family Intervention, Medicine including Child Health, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology, and Psychiatry, Dr. Lambert’s publications are found in numerous clinical and scientific journals that focus on psychological assessment and treatment of behavioral and emotional functioning in children, adolescents, adults and families within and across multiple nations.
